Why hire a birth photographer??
The birth of your child is the most amazing moment in your life. Hiring a birth photographer frees up your birth partner and all other support systems to support you through labor and delivery. Without a birth photographer you might be left with blurry snap shots of baby after birth but nothing documenting the pain and love you experienced as you were welcoming your child into this world. Having professional photos will be an amazing reminder to one of the most incredible days of your life. These will be cherished by you and your family for many years to come.

What is a New Life session?
New Life sessions are great for moms who are not sure if they want to have a photographer in the room while they give birth but would still like moments after birth documented. New Life sessions take place up to 48hours after birth while still at the place of birth. You can book these sessions in advance or call us after baby is born. Please keep in mind that when calling after baby is born the full amount is due in full prior to arriving at place of birth via PayPal.

I'm a very private person. Will I have control over what is posted on Facebook or your blog?
Yes we will get your permission before posting any photos of you. However, we do hope that you allow us to showcase your experience to inspire other moms. If you sign a model release there will be a 10% discount on any order you purchase from your online gallery.
Will I get to meet you before the birth?
Yes. I will meet you and your primary support person before you sign any contract. This gives us the time to get to know each other a little more and go over your birth plan and any questions or concerns you might have. This meeting will take place at a local cafe, or at your home.
What if I go into labor in the middle of the night?
I ask that you call me at any signs of labor anytime day or night. Once your contractions are consistent and you are in active labor call me and I will be on my way. I am on call for you 2weeks before and after your scheduled due date.
What happens if you are busy when I go into labor?
Because I'm on call I will only schedule sessions that can be rescheduled. I will not leave the immediate area of Wichita in those weeks. In the case your baby decides to come earlier than 2 weeks before your due date I will do my very best to make it to the birth. In the event that I don't make it you will still receive either a New Life or Newborn session.
What happens if you miss the birth?
All births are unpredictable which leaves a possibility I might not make it in time. In the event i'm stuck in traffic, illness, or death in my family happens your retainer or full payment will be used towards another session. In the event I do make it after baby is born I will stay and document as much as I can and you will also get a choice of another session.

My doctor has informed me that my baby may not survive outside of the womb. Will you still come and document our experience?
Yes. We would be more than willing to come capture those memories for you. This can be a hard time for you and your family and we understand the space the family will need to grieve. We will be unobtrusive and quietly document your day.
